In this class\, you’ll learn how to make beeswax candles and beeswax wraps\, and voila! Two handmade gifts are ready to give. \nAbout the instructor\, Susan Gregory: Susan is a founding member of Seattle REconomy\, the nonprofit that operates the NE Seattle Tool Library and the Shoreline Tool Library. She has been teaching our classes for many years\, and loves to watch her students learn new skills and gain new knowledge. \nThis class is offered at a reduced rate as a part of Seattle REconomy’s Community Tool Chest fundraiser in support of expanding programming to our new Lake City location. If cost is a concern\, we encourage you to contact us at info@seattlereconomy.org to discuss options. This class is supported by the Seattle Office of Economic Development (OED) and Seattle Public Utilities (SPU). \nACCESSIBILITY:  \n\nMuch of the venue is wheelchair accessible. Some classes may utilize the balcony space\, which only has standard-width door access. The facility has an ADA-compliant all-gender restroom.\nNon-English and ASL interpreters are not provided at our classes and events. However\, attendees are welcome to bring their own interpreters.\nPlease contact us with any accessibility needs or requests. \n\nGETTING THERE: \n\nBy transit: Served by bus route 522 from Roosevelt Station\, or route 61 from Northgate Station\nBy bike: There are multiple bicycle route options available to the Reuse Commons\, and you are welcome to stow your bicycle inside during your visit.\nCar parking: There is a shared asphalt parking lot that fits up to 10 cars. There is additional street parking along Lake City Way NE.

SUMMARY:Fix-It Night at the Shoreline Tool Library
DESCRIPTION:Bring by your broken household items for a night of fixing and community building at the Shoreline Tool Library!\n\n\nIt’s time to start collecting all those items around the house that need to be fixed but you don’t know how. We are hosting a repair night at the Shoreline Tool Library. We will help you fix and learn to fix your broken tools\, lamps\, toys\, furniture\, appliances\, and any other broken items that you can carry in on your own. We encourage you to help as much as you can and enjoy the community of reuse! \nIf you are excited about fixing and want to help out with this event or other fixing opportunities we are looking for more fixers.
