DESCRIPTION:Learn the basic safety of our woodworking tools. Woodshop Orientation is necessary to use our Woodshop during our Woodshop Open Hours.\n\n\nSign up for Woodshop Orientation to learn the basic safety of the tools that we have in our Woodshop. This will give you the basic training required to safely utilize our various woodworking tools\, and it will give you the prerequisite to use the space during Woodshop Open Hours. \nThe space is equipped with a large SawStop table saw\, 12″ compound sliding miter saw\, 2 band saws (one for resaw)\, drill press\, router table\, jointer\, planer\, spindle sander\, scroll saw\, and various hand tools. \nPrerequisite: \nYou must be a Seattle REconomy tool library (NE Seattle Tool Library/Shoreline Tool Library) member to take this class. There are suggested membership options\, but membership is pay-what-you-can\, and we do not require proof of income. Learn more about becoming a member here! \nEmail us at info@seattlereconomy.org if you have any questions on Woodshop usage. Please come to the East entrance of the NE Seattle Tool Library at the time of the class. DESCRIPTION:Come join us for our Monthly Volunteer Training where you’ll learn new skills and meet other awesome volunteers!\n\n\nThis is a great opportunity to learn more about how you can get involved with the community and help out at the NE Seattle Tool Library. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer\, you haven’t been back in a while\, or you’re brand new\, everyone is welcome! \nWe’ll cover everything you need to know to check in and out tools\, assist members\, and answer all of your questions. We’ll also go over other ways to volunteer\, including beautification\, outreach\, inventory\, fixing tools\, and steering committees.
