No previous knowledge is required. This class will cover where to source 3D models online\, how to slice files using Prusa Slicer\, and how to operate the machine. You are encouraged to bring your own laptop to the class and download Prusa Slicer by clicking here\, but it is not required. \nThis class will not include a 3D modeling aspect. If you are interested in learning 3D modeling\, check out our other class—CAD for 3D Printing. Please note that CAD for 3D Printing class is NOT a 3D printer orientation class and will not cover how to use our in-house 3D printers. These classes will not have any content overlap. DESCRIPTION:Learn about the basic supplies and tools of needle felting (AKA roving) while creating a felted acorn to decorate your home this winter.\n\n\nIn this class\, you will learn the basics of needle felting with wool. This will include an overview of setup\, materials\, and tools – along with some tips and tricks to make getting started easier. We’ll quickly get into trying out the needle felting by making a simple felted acorn\, a lovely little holiday ornament! \nThis class is for absolute beginners\, no experience necessary. All tools and materials provided\, but below is a list of the materials we will be using if you’d like to purhcase and learn with your own. DESCRIPTION:Create and decorate a fresh evergreen wreath. Folks are welcome to bring mementos to personalize their wreaths. Age 12+.\n\n\nMake your own wreath for this holiday season with fresh evergreen boughs and a wide selection of decorative items. Bring mementos from your life to add to the wreath and personalize it. Create a wreath that will visually wish your friends and family a happy holiday season. \nWe recommend you bring gardening gloves and encourage you to bring any mementos you’d like to add\, such as handmade crafts from children or family members\, items that represent your heritage\, small/laminated pictures of family members or pets\, etc. Anything goes! \nAbout the instructors\, Rebecca Roush & Diana Lilig: Rebecca is a fine craft artist and loves making things by hand. She marvels at how easy it is to make holiday wreaths\, and wants to this craft with you. Diana is a many-year wreath maker and one of her favorite winter pastimes is foraging for unique materials for each year’s wreath. \nOur sliding scale for classes helps to reduce barriers for participation while retaining sufficient income for Seattle REconomy\, which owns and operates the NE Seattle and Shoreline tool libraries. DESCRIPTION:Bring by your broken household items for a night of fixing and community building at the Shoreline Tool Library!\n\n\nIt’s time to start collecting all those items around the house that need to be fixed but you don’t know how. We are hosting a repair night at the Shoreline Tool Library. We will help you fix and learn to fix your broken tools\, lamps\, toys\, furniture\, appliances\, and any other broken items that you can carry in on your own. We encourage you to help as much as you can and enjoy the community of reuse! \nIf you are excited about fixing and want to help out with this event or other fixing opportunities we are looking for more fixers. SUMMARY:Making Jewelry Gifts: Earrings and Bracelets
DESCRIPTION:String beads for earrings and a memory wire bracelet from a wide selection of beads. Students may also bring their own! Age 18+.\n\n\nMake jewelry gifts for a friend or for yourself! In this class\, you will learn how to attach a string of beads to make earrings. You’ll also make a bracelet with memory wire\, which retains its shape\, is easy to put on\, and doesn’t require a clasp. \nAll supplies provided\, including ear wires and posts for making earrings\, lots of beads to choose from\, and silver and gold colored base wire earring findings.
