Amanda’s Public Transit Arrivals Board

A closeup of a DIY public transit arrivals board. It shows a couple of different arrivals times for different buses around Seattle.

Public Transit Arrivals Board

I recently took the 3D Printer Orientation class at STL with Ava. I didn’t have any prior experience with 3D printers, but after taking the class, I was able to jump right into printing a small electronics project. I printed a frame for a DIY public transit arrivals board. It’s an entirely open-source project that can be customized to display arrivals for any route and doesn’t require any electronics experience. It was fun, easy, and super functional :). For anyone also interested in creating their own, here is the build guide for a Transit Tracker board.

Grateful to be a member of the tool library and excited to use the 3D printer for future projects!
