I've always been tool-savvy. The main pipe out of the ground has survived many a season. Eventually, the head, where the valve was threaded on, rusted and cracked off. I put a temp compression fit valve there, but it didn't stop the leak. This led me to cutting the pipe end off, borrowing a threader from the Shoreline Tool Library, and recutting the threads to reinstall the faucet valve.
It's so good to have a resource when you don't have space to purchase tools to complete repairs yourself. Now there are no more leaks!
