Furniture Repair Bank and Second Use Pop-Up Sale @ RCLC

November 7 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Free
This collaborative pop-up sale is focused on restored furniture and home decor items from Furniture Repair Bank and Second Use.

Swing by Reuse Commons Lake City and buy some restored furniture and home decor during our very first pop-up event with Furniture Repair Bank and Second Use! Come explore, support local reuse, and be part of Seattle’s growing circular economy!

We’ll have more information on specific items closer to the date of the pop-up, so check out Reuse Commons (@reusecommons), Furniture Repair Bank (@repairbank), and Second Use (@secondusebuildingmaterials) on social media.

Furniture Repair Bank:

For years, people have asked if Furniture Repair Bank ever sells the beautifully refurbished pieces their team restores, and now, for the first time, the answer is yes! Every piece has been saved from the waste stream and brought back to its full potential by Furniture Repair Bank’s repair crew and volunteers. All proceeds go directly back into Furniture Repair Bank’s mission: Keeping furniture in circulation for the benefit of all members of our community. When you shop this sale, you’re not just getting a great piece of furniture, you’re helping to provide home furnishing for others.

Second Use:

Second Use will present a variety of quality home decor items such as lighting, mirrors, tables, chairs, dressers, and shelves. Most items will be priced in the $25–$300 range. This is an opportunity to check out a selection of the items they carry in their SoDo and Tacoma stores. Some of their other current stock can be viewed at seconduse.com. Second Use’s mission is to salvage materials and their stories, from the community, to the community, with a goal to make salvage and reuse intuitive, accessible, and fun.

Reuse Commons:

Reuse Commons is a one-stop shop for sustainable living, offering secondhand retail, repair services, classes, and shared resources that help reduce waste and strengthen community resilience. We plan on hosting pop-up events with local reuse-based organizations every month.

This event is supported by the Seattle Office of Economic Development (OED) and Seattle Public Utilities (SPU).
