I recently took the 3D Printer Orientation class at STL with Ava. I didn’t have any prior experience with 3D printers, but after taking the class, I was able to jump right into printing a small electronics project. I printed a frame for a DIY public transit arrivals board. It’s an entirely open-source project that can be customized to display arrivals for any route and doesn’t require any electronics experience. It was fun, easy, and super functional :). For anyone also interested in creating their own, here is the build guide for a Transit Tracker board.
Grateful to be a member of the tool library and excited to use the 3D printer for future projects!
We’ll be at the Shoreline Tool Library with thousands of tools, art supplies, baked goods, bikes, a raffle, and more.
