Zach’s Tiki Bar

Tiki Bar

We just finished up a big project we've been working on since January, turning our unused and unfinished basement space into a tiki bar.

The Shoreline Tool Library was an incredible resource. We were so glad that it opened right around the start of our project. I had to do a ton of things I'd never done before, so it was great to check out several tools and see what worked best for a certain job.

We used a ton of tools from the Shoreline tool library in this project, including:

  • Thermal imaging gun prior to redoing the wall insulation
  • All sorts of drywall supplies
  • Angle grinder to take the paint off the cement floor
  • Hammer drill to secure subfloor
  • Flooring installation kit
  • Stair template jig
  • Laminate roller to flatten matting after hanging it on the walls
  • Level for checking flooring and door installation
  • Saw horses, constantly
  • Pocket hole jig for building the actual bar
  • A  router I got at the tool sale, which I used to route designs on about 170ft of trim boards on the walls and the 4×4 posts on the bar

Join us on Saturday, October 4th from 9am–3pm for our..
