Anyone 18+ can become a tool library member (younger folks can use a parent or guardian’s account with permission), whether you live in Washington or anywhere else in the world. Most memberships are good for 12 months and may be renewed anytime.
If you are thinking of joining the Shoreline Tool Library, there are a couple of things we could use your input on! We ask that you fill out this brief survey so that we can understand what the community wants from the Shoreline Tool Library.
3 Easy Steps to Become a Member
- Create an account. This can be done on a computer or a phone. Each library also has a computer you may use!
- Come into the Tool Library during open hours with a government-issued photo ID. Let us know if you don’t have one available.
- Make a donation if you are able. Donations are crucial to keeping this community project running. They pay for our coordinators’ salaries, our rent, and tool upkeep.
The suggested membership fee levels are:
- Yearly
- General Public: $60
- Dual Membership: $80
- Student/Senior: $40
- Community Supporter: $120
- Monthly: $20
- Lifetime: $750
You can also opt for an in-kind donation in the form of volunteer hours (one 3-hour shift/month) or tool donations.
All donations are optional and we will not deny applications because of a lack of funds. We do not require proof of income.
