Before moving to Seattle in 2019, I was raised in rural Michigan to a family that never takes itself too seriously but always takes community, self-expression, and fixing/creating very seriously. There was never a question of whether an idea was possible with the open door policies of an art teacher mother and a tool-collecting father, the only questions were “what do you need help with?” and “can I join you?”

After all that, it’s no wonder I’ve become a tinkerer with an insatiable need to collect and share new skills. That has led me to an eclectic set of experiences in robotics, groundskeeping, 3D modeling/printing, graphic design, electronics for space, video game development, tailoring, pinball restoration, and more. I’m thrilled to be part of an organization that shares those ideals and cultivates opportunities for connecting communities with the knowledge, resources, and space to sustainably turn inspiration into reality.
