Seattle REconomy’s commitment to re-use extends to its Education Program, which focuses on classes that provide our members and the general public with opportunities to learn how to re-use, maintain and improve what they already have, and how to create something new. We teach classes at the NE Seattle and Shoreline Tool Libraries every month, and you can view our Event Calendar here.
We offer a variety of classes, but we are always looking for more ways to expand our knowledge and yours. Interested in becoming an instructor?
Both the NE Seattle Tool Library and the Shoreline Tool Library have resources for our teachers, ranging from a ridiculously large and varied inventory of tools, tables and chairs, white boards, etc. The Shoreline Tool Library has a projector and screen for presentations. (Not all of our classes are hands-on.)
We’re always looking for instructors who either compliment what’s already being taught (we can’t offer enough sewing and power tool classes!) or bring something new to the table. Interested? We will seriously consider every idea for a class that you might like to teach. And we make it easy for you to tell us about what you would like to teach.
