Calling all hobby hoppers! The Shoreline Tool Library (STL) is excited to expand its “Arts & Crafts” tool inventory, and we need your help! Whether you're eager to try knitting or create your own bath bombs, you shouldn't have to spend a fortune. Consider donating your unused crafting tools and discover a treasure trove of supplies to spark your creativity. Join us at STL to explore our collection, and take home something new for your next project. Plus, learn about our membership options and how you can contribute to our community of makers!

The Shoreline Tool Library (STL) is looking to expand its “Arts & Crafts” tool inventory. We understand the adventuristic hobbyist in you, and we want to support you with this section of our tool library! One day you want to try out knitting, and the next you might want to make your own bath bombs. You shouldn't have to spend hundreds of dollars just to try something new.

So, throw open those closet doors and consider donating your rotary cutters, cutting mats, quilting rulers, darning needles, embroidery hoops, knitting looms, pom-pom makers, cake decorating tips, lino cutting tools, candy molds, craft scissors, knitting needles, crochet hooks, tabletop weaving looms, sewing machines, bath bomb molds, stencils, cookie debossers, yarn winders, craft machines, bow makers, soap molds, bottle cutters, birthday cake molds, artist paint brushes…  You get the idea!

Hopefully, when you come in to donate, you'll be able to take something else home with you for the week. We already have things like sewing machines, hot glue guns, and a small pottery wheel to get you started on your next favorite activity! Come into the Shoreline Tool Library (16610 Aurora Ave N) during open hours (Mon–Fri from 3–8pm & Saturday 10am–3pm) to see what else we have in stock. As for donations, we encourage folks to drop them off starting around one hour after we open to allow us time to open up the tool library.

If you haven't already, you can learn more about becoming a member here. Membership is based on an optional donation and after joining, you can check out as many tools as you'd like weekly with renewals.

Once you’ve discovered your crafting tool at STL, check out Seattle Recreative stores for great salvaged arts & crafts supplies.  STL is also a donation drop-off location for all your extra crafting supplies as part of our redistribution partnerships with Seattle Recreative, Kidvantage, and Furniture Repair Bank.

If you have any questions about donations or require pick-up, you can fill out this form or email shorelinetl@seattlereconomy.org. All accepted donations are eligible for a tax refund using the Tax Receipt form.
