Seed Starting & Seed Library Use Event

Start your seeds with us in preparation for our Seedling Festival in April (link coming soon), and trade with our seed library!
Supplies we will have: Minimal supply of seeds, soil, and pots
Supplies you need to bring: Seeds to share & donate, seeds you want to plant, seed starting or potting soil, small tray/pot/container for starting your seeds
Aims:
- Replenish & diversify seed library
- Promote use & donation to seed library
- Get many seeds started to have seedlings to transplant in March, and swap in April
On March 7, from 9am–2pm, we’re hosting a Seedling Transplant & Edible Sprouts Event at the NE Seattle Tool Library. Learn more and sign up!
We have limited spots for this event, so if you’re unable to attend, please cancel your RSVP to allow others the opportunity to sign up.
ACCESSIBILITY:
- Much of the NE Seattle Tool Library interior is wheelchair accessible. All entrances have ramps that may exceed a 5 degree slope. The all-gender restroom is quite small and not ADA compliant.
- Non-English and ASL interpreters are not provided at our classes and events, however attendees are welcome to bring their own interpreters.
- Please contact us with any accessibility notes or requests.
GETTING THERE:
- By transit: Served by King County Metro bus route 372 stopping along Lake City Way NE at NE 98th St. Route 61 stops at NE Northgate Way & 23rd Ave NE and is a ½ mile walk from the tool library.
- By bike: There are multiple bicycle route options available to the tool library, and you are welcome to stow your bicycle inside the tool library during your visit.
- Car parking: There is a gravel parking lot that fits about 10 cars, and an asphalt parking lot that fits 5 cars. There is no ADA accessible parking.
Children are welcome at some classes with their parent or guardian on a case-by-case basis, either as a student or as an observer. If you would like your child to attend a class with you, please email info@seattlereconomy.org with their age and experience. Let us know if they will be a student or an observer, the name and date of the class, and we will determine if it is appropriate.
