As a holiday gift for our lovely tool library community, we’re buying brand new tools for you to borrow! You have until the end of the year to let us know what you'd like, and we'll add some of the most-desired tools to our inventory for you to check out in 2026.
Last year, the community had a variety of new suggestions and fan favorites. The community votes tallied up to a new 3D printer, cordless brad nailers, an electric pole saw, and a couple of saw blades. This community-driven holiday gift is what launched our 3D printing program, so we’re excited to see what you come up with next!
How does it work?
- Comment on this post with a tool you'd like us to buy, and like comments from others you agree with.
- You may only comment once per social media platform, but you can like as many comments as you see, and you can comment the same tool across all of our social media platforms (each comment and like is a vote!).
- Share our posts with everyone you know so they can like your comment and make a suggestion of their own!
- Come into the tool libraries and vote once at the front desk (please note that we are closed from 12/24/2025-1/1/2026).
- We have a budget of $500 for each tool library.
- We will only purchase a tool that fits our inventory, makes sense to be loaned out, and does not require intensive/constant maintenance.
