Print your very own holiday Tchotchke! In this class, you will be able to pick a design to print, learn how to prepare it for printing, and set it up on one of our printers. Due to the time 3D printing takes, you will likely have to return on another day to pick-up your finished print.
This class also acts as a 3D printing orientation and covers everything that the basics class covers (finding 3D models online, slicing in Prusa Slicer, and printing on our Prusa MK3s+’s). Please note that you must be a Seattle REconomy tool library member to attend this class, and you can sign up here.
This class does NOT teach Computer Aided Design (CAD). If you are interested in learning CAD, check out our other other 3D Printer Orientation class: 3D Printer Orientation: Foundations of CAD!
About the instructor, Ava Lim: Ava is one of our Shoreline Tool Library Coordinators. She’s our 3D printing program aficionado. She has been working with 3D printers for many years, including at the UW Makerspaces.
Our sliding scale for classes helps to reduce barriers for participation while retaining sufficient income for Seattle REconomy, which owns and operates the NE Seattle and Shoreline tool libraries. Please choose the level that best fits your family’s income.
