Join us for a hands-on workshop taught by clinical herbalist Cassidy Moss, where you will learn how to harvest, dry, and prepare medicinal herbs. We’ll cover ethical wildcrafting, proper harvesting techniques, and different preservation methods – including drying, basic tincturing, and water infusions. This workshop will give you the confidence to take wild and cultivated herbs and process them into medicinal preparations.
About the instructor, Cassidy Moss: She used to manage a biodynamic farm on Whidbey island and is now a clinical herbalist in Greenlake. She has hosted a few gardening workshops in the past few years and would love to walk other folks through the garden planning process and marry it in with choosing medicinal plants!
Our sliding scale for classes helps to reduce barriers for participation while retaining sufficient income for Seattle REconomy, which owns and operates the NE Seattle and Shoreline tool libraries. Please choose the level that best fits your family’s income.
Children are welcome at some classes with their parent or guardian on a case-by-case basis, either as a student or as an observer. If you would like your child to attend a class with you, please email info@seattlereconomy.orgwith their age and experience. Let us know if they will be a student or an observer, the name and date of the class, and we will determine if it is appropriate.
