Join us for the sixth edition of NESTL’s book club! We’ll be reading the Endling by Maria Reva.
In honor of the concept of a Climate Victory Garden, explored by Leah Penniman in her interview Seeds and Sovereignty, we want to invite book club attendees to participate in a food surplus swap.Have you been growing something you have too much of? Do you have potatoes you bought that you don’t think you’ll be able to use before they start growing eyes? Did you meal prep too much bean salad this week? If you’ve got extra of anything, meals or ingredients, this is an opportunity to share.
Don’t have anything extra? Let us share with you!! Of course, if anyone would like to specifically make something for this event, that is also allowed.
During September’s meeting, we’ll vote as a group on what to read next! Bring your ideas!
Looking for a copy? There are a handful at the Seattle Public Libraries and King County Libraries. We also suggest a thriftbooks.com and betterworldbooks.com for ordering used books.
