Laser Cutter Orientation

Open up endless creative possibilities with laser cutting! In this class, students will learn how to navigate the xTool Studio software to set up their designs and operate the xTool M1 laser cutter. The laser is able to cut and engrave a wide variety of materials, like wood, paper, opaque acrylic, and fabric. No previous experience is required.
Taking the Laser Cutter Orientation is required to use our in-house laser cutter. You must also be a Seattle REconomy tool library member (NE Seattle Tool Library/Shoreline Tool Library) to take this class. Become a member here!
Our sliding scale for classes helps to reduce barriers for participation while retaining sufficient income for Seattle REconomy, which owns and operates the NE Seattle and Shoreline tool libraries. Please choose the level that best fits your family’s income. If cost is a concern, we encourage you to contact us at info@seattlereconomy.org to discuss options.
