“All Offers Accepted” Fall Tool Sale at the Shoreline Tool Library on Saturday, September 19th

Visit the Shoreline Tool Library for thousands of tools, bikes, art supplies, & baked goods. Any offer accepted for tools and art supplies!

Not only will there be thousands of tools for sale, but we’ll have several bikes, art supplies, upcycled art, baked goods, and coffee! All offers are accepted for tools, art supplies with Seattle ReCreative, and most upcycled art with Salvation Artists Colletive. Bikes, baked goods, and any items inside of the tool library (at our Reuse Store) have a fixed price.

Categories of tools available include power tools, landscaping, hand tools, electrical, painting, plumbing, kitchen, building materials, and so much more available for ANY price!

  • $20 for a chainsaw? No problem.
  • $10 for a reciprocating saw? You got it.
  • A highfive for a socket set? As long as it’s sincere, it’s a deal!

There will be a special offer for new and renewing members of our tool libraries (NE Seattle Tool Library & Shoreline Tool Library): A 15% off coupon for our Reuse Materials Store at Shoreline Tool Library.

When to arrive:

  • Looking for a popular tool or the best selection of our bikes? A line starts forming over an hour before the event, so get there early! If you're only stopping by for a fixed-priced bike or art supplies, head directly behind the Shoreline Tool Library.
  • Not a fan of lines? We’ll still have thousands of great finds midway through the event, but the crowd usually thins out!
  • Love collecting tools and want the best deal on whatever is left? Everything is free during the last hour (2–3pm)!

Presale Tickets & Ticket Raffles: We’re getting the line moving early with 23 presale tickets (plus-one only included for certain tickets, please read below)! Presale ticketholders must arrive between 8:30–8:45am and present their digital (or printed) ticket to enter the Tool Sale early.

  • 20 tickets will be for sale for $100 each, and tickets do not include a plus-one. Proceeds directly support the nonprofit Seattle REconomy tool libraries.
  • One presale ticket will be awarded to the tool library member who successfully refers the most new tool library members between now and the day before the Tool Sale, and this ticket includes an optional plus-one. Tell everyone you know to become a tool library member, and make sure they include your first and last name on our membership form! The top referrer (and their plue-one) have first priority to the Tool Sale, regardless of when they arrive within the 8:30–8:45am window. Please read our blog post, Introducing year-round tool library membership referral bonuses, to learn more about how referrals work. We will email the presale ticket winner on 9/18 around 9am.
  • Two tickets will be raffled off to someone who RSVPs, and each ticket includes an optional plus-one. If you RSVP (for free) to this event and check the “Yes please!” box at checkout before 4/3 at 9am, you will be entered into a raffle to win a presale ticket. The raffle winners (and their plus-one) have first priority to the Tool Sale, regardless of when they arrive within the 8:30–8:45am window. We will email the presale ticket winners on 9/18 around 9am.

If you’d like to check out the Shoreline Tool Library, come take a peek! We’ll have folks available to chat about the tool library (left side when you walk in), and you can also check out our Reuse Materials Store (right side when you walk in). Our tool library has thousands of tools that you can check out as a tool library member (pay-what-you-can), and our Reuse Materials Store has a variety of items for sale at a fixed price (membership is not needed to shop).

We’ll also be having a raffle for a $50 gift card to our Reuse Store! It is $3 each or 2 for $5 and 5 for $10. The winner will not need to be present for the drawing, but their email or phone number must be legible on their raffle ticket. You can enter the raffle from inside the Shoreline Tool Library at the front desk.

This is a nonprofit fundraising event. All proceeds support the Seattle REconomy community and our tool libraries in NE Seattle and Shoreline. This event is sponsored by BECU and Floor Coverings International, and is in partnership with Seattle ReCreative, Salvation Artists Collective, and Brotherton Cadillac NW.

If this is the first time you’ve heard of the Seattle REconomy Tool Libraries, below are some helpful links!

Parking and Transportation Information:

  • Regardless of where you park, we'll have space for folks to hold their things while they retrieve their car, so you don't have to walk all the way back to your car with your new finds.
  • Since partnering with Brotherton Cadillac NW (17545 Aurora Ave N, Shoreline), they will be offering a shuttling service in their SUVs from 8am–12pm, if you'd like to park in their parking lot (~50 spots). For folks parked there before noon, there will still be pick-up services from the Tool Sale after noon.
  • There is some free parking available behind the Shoreline Tool Library. Spots are usually full in the morning and are more likely to open up around noon and onwards.
  • Otherwise, Car Tender (16622 Aurora Ave N STE A, Shoreline) has opened up their parking lot, and we are relatively close by to some neighborhood parking (please be respectful of people’s driveways, etc.).
  • If you’re taking the bus, we are served by King County Metro bus Rapid Ride E Line on Aurora Ave N and N 165th. The Shoreline Light Rail stations are each about 2 miles away.
  • You may also bring your own bike lock and park your bike in the bike sale area directly behind the Shoreline Tool Library. Please check in with a Bike Shack volunteer (usually wearing nametags) prior to parking your bike. We are one block west of the Interurban Trail.
