About Rachelle

I grew up in a slow-going construction zone as my parents built their dream home, which frankly makes me less interested in do-it-yourself house projects. I’d rather be out skiing, traveling, scuba diving in tropical locales, or going to a concert. But I hate seeing plastic in the ocean and the snowpack lessen over the years, and I want to do something tangible about it.

I heard about the tool library through neighborhood outreach and thought it was a phenomenal idea to reduce waste and support the local community. I became a member to check out some tools and then got hooked by the awesome people involved. I support the programs of Seattle REconomy by strategizing around funding and providing outreach at local events.

Seattle REconomy is a 501c3 tax-exempt nonprofit dedicated to reducing our community’s footprint and increasing our climate resilience through education and practical solutions.
